The power cord worked perfectly for approximately two months and then one day, simply didn't turn on...started making a funny noise and now no longer works. This is my second time purchasing an AC adapter that is less than $20 and both cords quickly burned out (different sellers, different adapters). Lesson finally learned.

I got this from Amazon, there were several issues
1. The length of the cords were about 3-4 feet at each end, the original HP comes with greater 6 feet at each end
2. The LED instead of the standard green is violet and is hardly visible
3. When I connect to the laptop, a very high pitched humming/hissing noise comes from the brick.
I am returning it, maybe I got a Lemon. Unfortunately Amazon does not let me have a replacement for this product. I will reorder this and see if I have good luck with the replacement.

I recently received this product and when I opened the package, I was surprised by the size. It is my third charger for my laptop (HP ZV6000) as the first was eaten by my cat, and the second simply wore out. The size was surprising because it is so small. Despite my doubts, and my fears of destroying my computer, I plugged it in anyway and my dead laptop came back to life. The battery is fully charged now and everything seems to be working well. If anything goes wrong (see other reviews), you can count on a future update to my review.

I love this charger. It was so much smaller and less bulkier than my old charger. Plus I was broke at the time and the price couldn't have been better. I also got it a lot sooner than I thought. Thanks!

Lasted less than two months. Power cord failed and actually shocked me and burned my fingers. I fortunately saved the power cord from my previous charger and was able to use that. Wires were of poor quality, I believe wrong gauge for the application. I would not buy another.
